Funimation’s official Twitter account revealed on Wednesday that the company will add the English dubbed episodes of the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime on August 1st.

The third season of Sword Art Online, named Sword Art Online: Alicization, is an anime arrangement adjusted from the light novel arrangement of a similar title composed by Reki Kawahara and outlined by abec. It is energized by A-1 Pictures and coordinated by Manabu Ono. It covers the initial segment of the Alicization arc and adjusts from the novel’s ninth volume, Alicization Beginning, to the fourteenth volume, Alicization Uniting. The second piece of the anime, named Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld, adjusts from the novel’s fifteenth volume, Alicization Invading, to the eighteenth volume, Alicization Lasting. While not shrouded in the light books, Alicization happens after Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale, as it consolidates components from the film not in the books.

The initial segment of the arrangement debuted on October 6, 2018, and circulated until March 30, 2019, with a one-hour world debut airing in Japan, the United States, Mexico, Australia, France, Germany, Russia, and South Korea on September 15, 2018. The second piece of the arrangement debuted on October 12, 2019, and disclosed until December 28, 2019, with a recap scene summing up the initial segment airing on October 5, 2019. The second 50% of the War of Underworld arrangement was initially booked to debut on April 25, 2020, however it has been deferred to debut on July 11, 2020, because of the CoronaVirus pandemic. Aniplex of America broadcast the initial segment of the arrangement’s English-dubbed rendition on Adult Swim’s Toonami obstruct from February 9 until July 13, 2019, while the second piece of the arrangement disclosed from January 18 until April 4, 2020.
