LiSA, a prominent Japanese singer and performer best known for performing “Gurenge,” the opening song of the famous Demon Slayer anime, announced on Tuesday that she had given birth to her first child.

LiSA said the following:

“I’d like to share some personal news, that I recently gave birth to my first child. I’m back stronger than ever, and so excited to continue making music for everyone. Thank you all for your continued support & I promise I’ll see you soon! Today’s another great day“

Risa Oribe, better known by her stage name LiSA, is a Sony Music Artists-signed Japanese singer, composer, and lyricist from Seki, Gifu. She is signed to Sacra Music.

She started her musical career as the lead singer of the indie band Chucky after having aspirations to be a musician at a young age. After Chucky broke up in 2008, LiSA relocated to Tokyo to pursue a solo career, making her major debut in 2010 as one of the two vocalists for the made-up band Girls Dead Monster on the anime television series Angel Beats!

A number of anime, including Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, have used LiSA’s songs as their themes.
