Shunsuke Kikuchi

The worldwide famous Japanese composer Shunsuke Kikuchi specialized in incidental music, passed away on April 24,2021 due to aspiration pneumonia.

He passed at age of 89. His family had a private funeral for him.

Born on November 1, 1931 in Hirosaki city in Aomori prefecture, Shunsuke Kikuchi made his expert introduction as a soundtrack writer in the 1961 film Hachininme no Teki. He made for various anime, live-action arrangement, and movies, especially for Toei and Shochiku. He is apparently most popular for forming the primary signature melody for the Kamen Rider establishment Let’Go!! Rider Kick, and furthermore formed the music for such anime as Doraemon, Tiger Mask, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dr. Droop, Getter Robo, Grendizer, Casshan, Tōshō Daimos, and some more.

Kikuchi was not active since 2017, when he actually stated that he was taking a break to be treated for an illness.
