Top 5 All-Time Anime Films in U.S.

The Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO anime film earned US$30,761,982 after its second weekend in the United States which brings the film above Dragon Ball Super: Broly (US$30,712,119 in 2018) and places it in the top five highest-grossing anime films at the U.S. box office.

The anime films that have managed to earn more in their last U.S. film box office are Pokémon: The First Movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, and Pokémon 2000 – The Movie.

The Box Office Mojo site revealed that the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 full-feature anime film acquired US$29,693,448 last year, while The Numbers site detailed US$33,919,605.

The opening of the Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO anime film was astounding and according to a recent report from Exhibitor Relations, the new full feature Dragon Ball Super film netted a strong $20 million USD in its initial weekend. This large accomplishment comes closely following Crunchyroll’s greatest theatrical delivery to date. With almost 4,000 screens showing the film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero had the biggest drop of an anime film stateside till now.

The new English dub cast include:

The anticipated movie started screening on June 11, and started screening in 4DX and MX4D starting on June 25, and it wall start screening in Dolby Cinemas right on July 1.

Dragon Ball Super anime dispatched back in July 2015 under Fuji TV. The show ran for under three years as it shut in March 2018.
