During the Dragon Ball Special Panel which has brought the chief makers of the series and the voice of the series protagonist Son Goku herself, Masako Nozawa, seeming to discuss the new film, it was uncovered when Akira Toriyama started composing the forthcoming film.

The makers for the series, Akio Iyoku and Norihiro Hayashida, weren’t modest about giving various subtleties for the impending film, uncovering that Toriyama, the maker of the Dragon Ball establishment, had started composing the story while Dragon Ball Super: Broly was as yet in progress:

“Creating a story is the most important part of making a movie. He was already starting to write the script while on the set of the previous one,” the executive producer explained, “What happened was once he finished the script for “Broly” and we started production on it, I said “Shall we continue to the next movie?” and we just went for it,”

“We fine-tuned the script a couple of times along with other minor details, but I think Toriyama-sensei himself would say this is the best movie yet,”

Akira Toriyamaโ€™s message to fans:

โ€œAn all new movie since โ€œDragon Ball Super: Brolyโ€ is currently in the making!
Just like the previous movie, Iโ€™m heavily leading the story and dialogue production for another amazing film.
I really shouldnโ€™t talk too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character.
Weโ€™ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of the visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!
