The third season of Demon Slayer is coming to a close as the Love Hashira gets ready for the epic battle against the Upper Four Hantengu.

The penultimate episode of Demon Slayer season 3 anime also featured a post-credits scene that revealed how Mitsuri Kanroji acquired her distinctive hair color.

Following her original debut with the rest of the Hashira line-up way back in Demon Slayer Season 1, Mitsuri was reintroduced to the anime season in Demon Slayer Season 3. With her reintroduction to the anime, viewers have finally gotten to see her in a genuine fight and what makes her tick.

A flashback in the penultimate episode of Demon Slayer season 3 showed that Mitsuri was originally born with dark hair and more demure features when she was young. This allowed her to fully enter the battle against Hantengu. She didn’t have pink or green eyes or hair until she was a little older, but, strangely, her parents didn’t look alike. In the latest Demon Slayer episode’s post-credits scene, it is revealed that Mitsuri’s distinctive hair and eye color are the result of her eight-month diet of 170 sakura rice cakes every day.
