The Swordsmith Village arc of Demon Slayer season 3 is about to come to an end. Since the return of the show, Tanjiro and the two special Hashira by his side have been the center of attention. If you didn’t know, Muichiro and Mitsuri have been the focus of the anime’s current season, but this past week, a familiar face startled viewers when it appeared on screen.

Everyone sobbed throughout the flashback. Fans cannot expect Demon Slayer to play a Rengoku flashback without breaking down in tears. This week, a special segment from Demon Slayer season 3’s Flame Hasher episode featured an adaptation of a portion of the Rengoku Gaiden manga.

When Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, persisted in his conflict with Gyokko, the update went live. We all know Muichiro had to power up as a result of the Upper Moon going so far as to reveal his final form. The mark on Muichiro’s face was unlocked by this power boost, yet even with all of this new might, the Hashira lacked the capability to completely fight the Upper Moon.

The Hashira’s recollection of Rengoku provided him the added motivation to overcome Gyokko as the battle came to a close. Muichiro reflected on his time spent learning with Rengoku while the Flame Hashira attempted to fulfill his desire. Even though the ebullient swordsman did his utmost to elicit feelings from Muichiro, the Mist Hashira was not yet prepared to accept them. However, when the boy defeated Gyokko, Muichiro started to comprehend what Rengoku had been attempting to teach him for quite a while.
