Muichiro's past

Season three of Demon Slayer, which recently returned to television, has been a huge success. Muichiro Tokito is the center of attention as the Mist Hashira finally demonstrates his combat prowess, and this week’s episode provided fresh information about his gloomy history.

While Shinobu is burdened by her past with her older sister, Rengoku dealt with his own troubles at home. Muichiro is no different from the other Hashira that we are aware of in having experienced trauma. This week’s episode of Demon Slayer season 3 showed a flashback of Muichiro and Oyataka as he took a break from fighting Gyokko to collect himself.

Since Muichiro is still a young man, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps has grown to love him with all of his heart. Fans can actually learn from this flashback that Oyataka and his wife perhaps in some way raised the Mist Hashira. Muichiro can be seen in the flashback lying in a bed, severely hurt, and he looks a little younger than he does now. In that place, Oyataka warns Muichiro that even the most insignificant elements in life have the potential to end up clearing the mist inside their heads. In addition to raising some serious issues about the boy, this realization helps Muichiro refocus during his battle.

Oyataka’s remark suggests that there is more to Muichiro and his thoughts than we are aware of. The Mist Hashira is a particularly forgetful person who may quickly lose track of knowledge. Muichiro’s entire body is enveloped in mist, from forgetting his allies to suppressing feelings. Given his history with Oyataka, it appears that the youngster once went through a situation that made him feel compelled to suppress all of his childhood memories.
