Crunchyroll reported on Wednesday that it has included the Welcome, Chitose (Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan) anime for clients in the United States and Canada, with the initial eight episodes officially accessible.
Eight new episodes will make a big appearance each Wednesday.
Crunchyroll describes the series:
“A penguin chick that resides in Kyoto, whose name is none other than Chitose.
Fluffy and adorable Chitose loves delicious food and fun things. Guided by her curiosity, Chitose wanders the city of Kyoto, often found interacting with people and eating (being given) delicious food. See all the famous Kyoto landmarks, Kiyomizu temple, Ginkakuji, Gion from the perspective of a penguin. This short penguin anime series is nostalgic with a hint of warmth and sure to bring calm to the heart.”
Yukiko Natsume‘s unique “shooting short” manga pursues Chitose, a soft Emperor penguin chick living in Kyoto. The narratives delineate such well-known Kyoto areas as Togetsu-kyō bridge, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Fushimi Inari-taisha holy place, and Kiyomizu-dera sanctuary from a penguin’s point of view, just as Kyoto food.
Kyō Yatate is directing the anime and taking care of the arrangement structure at the studio Gathering. Jun Mita is both the character planner and animation executive, Haruko Nobori is the coloring creator, Yoshinobu Yamada is the art director and Nobuyuki Abe is the sound executive.
