The latest Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War fascinated the anime medium with Ichigo Kurosaki’s great confrontation against Yhwach as the first genuine conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Sternritter nears its conclusion. Fans are now getting to watch all of the fights they have been waiting over a decade to see in motion as the new anime finally brings the highly anticipated final arc of Tite Kubo’s original manga to life.

With Episode 7 of the series, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime has fully returned Ichigo to the battlefield after he had spent much of it imprisoned in Quilge Opie’s jail. This is because the series has reached the peak of the Sternritters’ attack on the Soul Society. However, upon his return to the Soul Society and upon witnessing the devastation and death the Sternritter have wrought, Ichigo directs all of his wrath upon their commander, starting a battle between them.

The most recent episode of the series shows Ichigo taking on Yhwach after making his way back to the Soul Society, and he’s much worse for wear given how much damage he took trying to escape from Opie’s jail. However, he doesn’t give a damn about how he’s feeling because of the deaths that have already happened.

Following the events. he channels his Spiritual Pressure, Ichigo launches into a full fight against Yhwach and the Sternritter leader quite easily deals with Ichigo’s efforts.

The struggle nearly ends with Ichigo’s death, and it is instantly apparent that the enemy is far more powerful than Ichigo at this point. Yhwach wants to enlist Ichigo to their cause in order to eventually destroy the Soul Society, so it’s not like the villain was battling with all of his might.
