Black Clover is currently in the process of a final training arc for the series’ protagonist Asta as he gets ready to fight again for the series’ final arc, and the most recent chapter has advanced him significantly with the revelation of his recently mastered Zetten power.

Asta was brought to Yami Sukehiro’s native nation to study a new form of talent that would enable him combat the supremely powerful Lucius Zogratis after falling to Zogratis at the beginning of the Ultimate Wizard King arc. Naturally, his journey to this point has been difficult.

The last few chapters have seen a few of Lucius’ Paladins attacking the nation and eliminating the powerful members of the Ryuzen Seven so far. Asta was training to use this new Zetten technique mastered by those in the Land of the Sun during the series’ final arc. However, things have been put on hold as a result. However, the newest chapter shows Asta returning to the battle and making the declaration that he is prepared to face this new foe, which is luckily reinforced with the disclosure of his own Zetten technique.

Asta was confirmed to have mastered Zetten’s technique, which the Ryuzen Seven members had been making fun of for using it in various ways. The Ryuzen Seven members observe that Asta has worked out his own version of the technique by obtaining his solution, while saving Ichika after the previous chapter, he very literally carves up his own vulnerability. Asta came to the conclusion that all he needed to do was increase his strength.

When he encounters people who are already much stronger than him, in spite of all of his doubts, this acts as fuel for his Zetten. Asta has discovered that he has been overanalyzing his combat technique. No matter how powerful a magic spell is, Asta’s Zetten can cut through it by simply aiming for the precise instant it was performed.
