The fact that countless innocent people perish as a result of the flesh-eating behemoths in the Scout Regiment’s plot makes Attack on Titan one of the darkest anime shows in the history of the genre.

One such plot beat may hold the title of the most horrifying moment in the history of Hajime Isayama’s anime epic, spoilers for the series finale are making their way online with the first part of the series finale having already broadcast in Japan.

Attack on Titan viewers were aware that Eren’s mission to wipe out the majority of the world’s people would be terrible, but the episode that aired earlier today elevated things to a new level by emphasizing Ramzi and his brother, a Marleyian refugee. Jaeger was very different from his comrades when Eren and his fellow scouts encountered the refugees in the earlier parts since he was aware of what would eventually happen to these Marley residents. Eren expressed regret for killing Ramzi in the future, as was made clear in the first segment of the series finale, because a Colossal Titan was to blame for the boy’s passing.

You can view the graphic final moments of Ramzi’s life from the most recent episode below to see how depraved Eren has become as a result of obtaining the abilities of the Founding Titan.
