Aniplex of America declared on Friday that it will screen Cencoroll Connect, an uncommon joint screening of executive Atsuya Uki‘s first Cencoroll film short and the Cencoroll 2 continuation, at Anime Expo on July 4.
The Cencoroll Connect screening in Japan will open in six performance centers on June 29. The artist Ryo (supercell) is coming back to make the music.
The first Cencoroll theatrical anime short’s story starts when a goliath beast sends a town’s natives into a frenzy — aside from a young lady named Yuki and her classmate Tetsu. Tetsu happens to have his very own bizarre animal named Cenco as a pet. Another kid named Shū controls the beast compromising the town, and the stage is set for a fight.
Cencoroll is a 2009 Japanese anime sci-fi movie almost without any help composed, planned, coordinated, and animated by manga creator Atsuya Uki. Created by Anime Innovation Tokyo and Aniplex, the film had its reality debut at Canada’s Fantasia International Film Festival on July 28, 2009. The film made its Japanese presentation on August 22, 2009 in Tokyo and Osaka. Cencoroll made its presentation in the United States at the New York Anime Festival on September 25, 2009.
