The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences uncovered on Tuesday that James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez’s live-action Alita: Battle Angel film is one of 20 movies that have been submitted for thought in the Visual Effects class for the 92nd Academy Awards.

The Academy’s Visual Effects Branch Executive Committee decided the primer rundown of movies, and it will choose the 10 movies that will progress to designations casting a ballot in the not so distant future.

The Academy will uncover the assignments on January 13, 2020. The 92nd yearly Academy Awards will be hung on February 9, 2020.
