The August issue of Shogakukan‘s Monthly Flowers magazine is uncovering on Friday that Akimi Yoshida is propelling another manga titled Utagawa Hyakkei (One Hundred Views of Utagawa) in the magazine’s next issue on July 26.
The first chapter will have 56 pages including a color opening page.
The manga‘s story focuses on the general population who live in a hot spring town in a valley. Specifically, it centers around Kazuki — the stepbrother of Suzu, one of the focal characters of Yoshida’s past Umimachi Diary manga.

Akimi Yoshida finished her Umimachi Diary manga in June 2018.
It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Flowers magazine from August 2006 to August 2018.
A movie adjustment titled Our Little Sister, coordinated by Hirokazu Kore-eda and featuring Haruka Ayase, was first declared in the June 2014 issue of Monthly Flowers. The film was discharged on June 13, 2015.
Umimachi Diary won the Excellence Prize for manga at the 2007 Japan Media Arts Festival Awards and the sixth Manga Taishō. It was additionally selected for the first Manga Taisho, where it came in third spot, for the twelfth Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, where it came in second spot, and for the thirteenth Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. In 2016, the manga won the 61st Shogakukan Manga Award in the General class, imparting it to Sunny.
